'Yemen: Kids and War' competing at RIFF

Prominent documentary 'Yemen: Kids and War' directed by Khadija al-Salami has been participating at the 15th edition of the Resistance International Film Festival (RIFF) in Iran.

The 52-minute documentary 'Yemen: Kids and War' is taking part at the international competition section of the underway Iranian event.

'Yemen: Kids and War' is an exceptional documentary as it has been filmed in a country no camera can penetrate.

The film reportedly shows the cruel reality of war through the eyes of children.

In this documentary, 11-year-old Ahmed and Rima, 8, as well as nine-year-old Youssef recount the daily life of the Yemeni people under the Saudi aerial campaign.

The trio meet other children, collecting testimonies of injured kids in hospital and those who lost their parents during air raids.

The 52-year-old Khadija al-Salami is known for her works 'I Am Nojoom, Age 10 and Divorced', ' Scream' and 'Amina'.

The RIFF, one of the most prestigious international film festivals in Iran, is dedicated to productions on wars and the repercussions of armed conflicts in the world.

It also puts spotlight on the resistance of the Palestinian people against the Zionist regime, Daesh and their terrorist attacks in the region, and the world’s tyrants and their backing of Daesh.

The 15th edition of the RIFF kicked off in Tehran on November 26 and is set to wrap up on December 1, 2018.
